- The Terminal is an easy-to-use multi-wallet management tool. Users are free to create and import as many wallets as desired. Regardless of your security preferences and privacy needs, the Terminal can support your requirements.
- The Terminal offers a flexible approach to wallets and can manage multiple wallets simultaneously. Wallets may be imported or created from seed as software wallets, or imported as watching-only wallets. Watching-only wallets may create transactions which can be signed with hardware devices or exported and signed offline by software wallets.
- The BlockSettle Terminal connects to a BlockSettleDB which acts as a proxy and cache between the Bitcoin blockchain and the BlockSettle Terminal. For convenience, BlockSettle will offer a remote “supernode” that provides connectivity with the Bitcoin network. Advanced users who desire a higher level of privacy are encouraged to run their own node and connect to the Bitcoin network through their own infrastructure.
- Users who want to get acquainted with bitcoin are advised to run BlockSettle Terminal on a network called “testnet.” Testnet is a special network with “test bitcoins” that function like regular bitcoins but have no monetary value. BlockSettle Terminal can be run with the Bitcoin portion on testnet. Such a setup allows users to perform test transactions confirming the functionality of the user’s setup. Once the user is satisfied with their setup, the user may switch to Bitcoin’s “mainnet” and use bitcoins with monetary value.
